Nine festivals to host Iran short film ‘Gaze’ in April

Iranian short film ‘Gaze’ is scheduled to participate at nine international film festivals in April.

Directed by Farnoush Samadi, the film will be screened in festivals in the US, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland and Italy.

Written by Ali Asgari, the flick has so far represented Iran at a number of globally acclaimed film festivals, including the 70th edition of the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland and the 34th edition of the Tehran Short Film Festival in Iran.

‘Gaze’ also won many international awards in various film festivals including the award for best film by the audience choice at the Minimalen Short Film Festival in Norway.

The short film depicts the story of a woman who on her way back home learns about an incident on the bus. She is undecided whether to reveal the issue or not.
